Barcelona | 5th June 2017 (Duration 4 Weeks)
In a similar vein to Berlin the startup scene in Barcelona has very much been driven by affordable living costs and the perfect work life balance. Barcelona also provides a weatlh of bright minds with numerous local universities that supply a fresh flow of highly qualified labour in the city with low overheads (comparatively low minimum salary). The increased global interest in Barcelona is also due to it being a key gateway between Europe and America, fuelling an increased international work force inhabiting some of the coolest work spaces in Europe.
What better way to unwind than to absorb the warm Barcelona weather on the sands of the cities local beaches.
Art and Architecture
Barcelona is undoubtedly one of the most awe inspiring cities in regards to it’s array and diversity of architecture .
You don’t have to like soccer to appreciate the biggest sports team in the world. Be part of the atmosphere at the 99,000 seater Camp Nou.
Meet the locals
In Barcelona we wanted to find locals that represented the true startup scene with connections across multiple cowork spaces and industries. Our on ground local partners provide the best way to fully immerse in the startup scene with knowlege on local events, individuals and connections to ensure you make the most of your experienceship.

Barcelona’s Startup Superheroes.
Each of our startup capitals tends to have it’s own key sectors, in Barcelona there is a real trend in organisations with a heart or social focus. Wallapop provide a local shopping experience on your mobile, while Trip4Real (recently aquired by AirBnB) is a community platform that connects locals with travelers. Kantox was born from the idea of disintermediating banks from the foreign exchange process, allowing lower costs.
